Lesson Learned - Awards in Locarno

Bálint Szimler has been making short films, commercials, and award-winning music videos since his 2010 Cannes debut. In 2024, his first feature film, Lesson Learned, had its world premiere at the Locarno Film Festival, where it won the Best Actress award and earned a Special Mention for Szimler himself. Since then, it has also been released in Hungarian cinemas, ranking among the most-watched domestic films of the year. The film's cinematographer is Emmy Award-winning Marcell Rév.
Blazing - Keeps going forward:
The filming of Blazing can continue. After the first half of the film was completed through self-financing and even won awards at the Cottbus Film Festival, production can now proceed with the support of the Slovak Audiovisual Fund (AVF) and the Slovak Kultminor program. The film will continue as a Slovak-Hungarian co-production, produced by CineSuper and MPhilms. The latter is supported by Mátyás Prikler, also known as a director, whose film Power was released last year in Hungarian and Slovak cinemas.
